Camille Tee Test Knitters

Test knitters always give me phenomenal feedback, and help me see perspectives I hadn’t thought of before. Here are some of the Camille Tee test knitters, photos shared with permission.

Mima (@Mima.Schwarz)

Size 3, no bust darts. Knit in Lion Brand Truboo (100% Bamboo).

”This is a lovey garment both to knit and wear - the fit is great and there is always something new to do so it doesn’t get monotonous. It’s also a great intro to lace knitting.”

Anna Lena (@Knits_Of_Froda)

Blend of sizes 6, 7, and 8, cup 3 bust darts. Knit in Kremke-Soulwool Morning Salutation (51% Tencel, 49% Cotton).

Anna Lena added A-line shaping and length to the body, and also lengthened the sleeves. She also added the purl ridge to the lace trimmings.

Laure Anne (@LaureAnneKnitsThings)

Size 5 with bust darts. Knit in Lang Yarns Oceania (70% Cotton, 30% Seacell).

Laure Anne added gentle waist shaping.

”The Camille tee knits up really fast (mine took like 3 weeks!) and is a perfect summer tee. The pattern is well written and takes you through the process step by step while giving you shaping options to make sure the finished tshirt fits perfectly. The relaxed fit and pretty lace details make this an everyday staple.”

Hilal (@MoonshineKnits)

Size 3, no bust darts. Knit in Hobii Friends Cotton 8/6 (100% Cotton).

Heather (@Little.Wildlings_)

Susanne (@Hihahohun)

Size 7 with bust darts. Knit in We Are Knitters The Cotton (100% Pima Cotton).

Susanne lengthened the body by 4 cm and the sleeves by 1 cm, while also working fewer repeats for the lace trimmings.

K.J. Winchell (@KJandHerCrafts)

Size 2 with bust darts. Knit in Purl Soho Sweetgrass held double (65% Cotton, 35% Alpaca).

“I absolutely loved knitting this, I don't find that there are a lot of good set-in sleeve summer patterns and this one is such a gem! It knits up so quick at the DK-weight gauge and the lace details and great shaping keep it interesting the whole time.”

Bea (@ByBeaCreations)

Size 1 without bust darts. Knit in Circulo Yarns Amigurumi Soft (55% Acrylic, 45% Cotton).

Bea added waist shaping, used I-cord trim on the sleeves, and worked fewer repeats of lace for the hem.

“I’d say, go for it. I see it as a great base pattern which will give you a great fitted tee no matter what mods you do. It’s written clearly, and has just the right bit of information you need without any unnecessary text that’s overwhelming.” -Seema (@KnotSeema),Size 2 with cup 2 bust darts.
