Cadeau Socks Sizing

5 sizes: 32, 44, (54, 66, 76) stitches

The socks are meant to be 10% smaller in circumference than your actual foot. Measure around the widest part of your foot, and multiply by .9 for the ideal sock circumference.

Choose the size closest to your ideal sock circumference. If between sizes, size up.

Please see the size chart and schematic in the photos for more details.

This pattern is written to work with a variety of gauges, so that you can use anything from light fingering to DK weight yarn. Start by choosing your yarn and needle combination, then count your stitches per 1” / 2.5 cm. Find your stitches per 1” / 2.5 cm in the grey column, follow that row across to see the sock circumference of each size at your gauge.

Choose the size closest to your ideal sock circumference.

Ideally total sock length is also 10% shorter than your actual foot length. Convert the rounds listed in the schematic into lengths using your round gauge, then subtract those from your ideal sock length to calculate how long to knit the foot of the sock.
