Erysimum Shawl - Knitting Pattern
Erysimum Shawl - Knitting Pattern
Share
The Erysimum Shawl is a fun 3 color knit, with loads of squishy garter stitch broken up by simple mosaic knitting panels, and finished with a lovely wide lace panel. The motifs play off each other, and are inspired by the Western Wallflower (Erysimum capitatum). Knit your own little meadow of wildflowers!
Instructions are both written and charted.
Construction: An asymmetrical triangle shawl, knit on the bias. Edges are knit as you go, so once you bind off, you’re done and ready for blocking!
Difficulty: Advanced beginner
This is a great pattern for knitters new to lace or mosaic knitting, or new to reading charts. The charts can be cross referenced with the written instructions, and the motifs are fairly simple. The garter stripes provide relief from the slightly more complex mosaic charts.
A huge thank you to Hannah (Works of Our Hands) for tech editing, and to Kyla, Jean Kenny, Missy, and Tina for test knitting!
