Malinois Cardigan - Knitting Pattern
Malinois Cardigan - Knitting Pattern
Share
Classy, lightweight, wearable. The fine gauge and double knit buttonband add refined finishing touches to this wardrobe staple. The sophisticated deep V-neck and the saddle shoulder construction elevate any outfit. The Malinois is a cardigan for any occasion, and pairs beautifully with dresses, skirts, jeans, camisoles, and tees.
Construction: The Malinois is a saddle shoulder construction, worked flat, top-down, and seamlessly. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, both in the front and the back. The set-in sleeves are picked up around the armhole, a sleeve cap is shaped with short rows, and then the sleeve is knit in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up and a double knit buttonband is worked. The pattern includes instructions for buttonholes using any size and quantity of buttons.
Difficulty: Intermediate
The cables are fairly simple, and the pattern explains the techniques and shaping thoroughly. However, the fine gauge and double knit buttonband increase the amount of time it take to knit, and possibly the difficulty.
As with all of my size inclusive garment patterns, you can use the code ANTIFATTAX to get 20% off the pattern, intended for sizes 6-9 to help combat the extra costs incurred by knitting larger sizes.
This pattern is part of a bundle with the Children’s Malinois Cardigan, both patterns can be purchased for a total of $13. No coupon code needed. They must both be in your cart for the discount to work.
