Nurture Bralette - Knitting Pattern
Nurture Bralette - Knitting Pattern
Share
Nurture yourself with this delicate bralette. Designed with fit and comfort in mind. Comes in 9 finished bust sizes and personalized bust shaping. So comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing it! Can be worn on its own, or as a beautiful layering piece. It makes for a great training bra too.
To combat the additional costs fat knitters face, I’ve added a coupon code for knitters who are often excluded from pattern sizing. For knitters who typically knit size 6-9, all my garment patterns are 20% off with the coupon code ANTIFATTAX.
Worked top down seamlessly, without grafting, and minimal finishing. Just weave in the ends and block!
The lace is both charted and written out row by row, it can also be skipped completely.

Details
Sizing
The bralette is meant to be worn with 8” / 20 cm of negative ease (smaller than your actual measurement) at the bust. Graded to fit an actual bust of 31.5” - 61.5” / 79 cm - 154 cm.
The under bust (stretched) should also be at least 2” / 5 cm smaller than your actual measurement, (modifiable).
Prioritize the bust measurement when choosing a size, the underbust can be modified.
Each size has at least 5 short row cups sizes (with more cup sizes in the larger sizes). A different cup size can be worked for each breast.
See the schematic and size charts in the photos for more details.

Yardage
Shibui Knits Lunar 1, 1, 2, (2, 2, 2) {2, 2, 2} skeins (401 yards / 365 meters per 50 g) 60% Merino / 40 % silk; held double.
OR 160, 200, 210, (240, 260, 300) {330, 350, 390} yards / 146, 182, 192, (220, 238, 274) {302, 320, 356} meters of comparable fingering weight yarn held single.
For a non wool alternative I recommend Hikoo Cobasi, the elasticized nylon helps it retain it’s shape well.
Choose a yarn that you will enjoy wearing next to skin.
This yardage is just an estimate, depending on the amount of German short rows worked you may require more or less yarn.
